DOG RULES FOR MONNINGTON HOUSE AND THE CIDER MILL
We welcome 2 dogs in Monnington House and 1 dog in The Cider Mill.
Occasionally we accept more than 2 dogs in Monnington House – please ask.
Dogs at Monnington House and The Cider Mill have to be booked in advance just like humans. We do not accept dogs in Garden Cottage which we keep dog free for those who have allergies. A charge of £25 per week and £50 per week applies.
We provide the following:
- 2 medium sized crates with sherpa cage mats which are located in the boot room at Monnington House and 1 medium sized crate at The Cider Mill which is in the porch or outbuilding
- dog bowls, dog towels and poop bags
- Doggy rock to avoid yellow patches on lawn
- Maps and some books of local walks
- Extendable hose for washing down dirty dogs
- A container of dog biscuits
Doggy Code at Monnington House and The Cider Mill
- On arrival please keep your dog(s) in the car whilst you get your bearings.
- Please keep your dogs on the lead when you first set off for your walk. There may be farmworkers and machinery working nearby.
- Dogs may not chase any livestock and must be put on a lead whilst walking through fields with sheep.
- A paws on floor policy applies – dogs are permitted on the flagstone areas of Monnington House (kitchen, dining area, snug, hall, and boot room) only and are not permitted upstairs and in the kitchen/sitting room area only at The Cider Mill. Dogs are not permitted in bedrooms.
- Dogs may not be left unattended in Monnington House or The Cider Mill.
- Dogs under 1 and elderly dogs who are incontinent plus bitches in season are not permitted.
- We kindly ask your dogs flea and tick and worming treatments are up to date before arrival.
- Any damage caused by dogs to the property is the guests responsibility.
- Please collect all dog poop immediately.
