Golf courses close to Monnington House

Kington Golf Club

Kington is not only England’s highest golf course, but also one the country’s true hidden gems, described eruditely as an ‘inland super mare’, due to the keen turf and rambunctious terrain (approx. 20 minutes drive).

The Herefordshire Golf Club

Founded in 1896. The par four 8th is the toughest hold… a potential card wrecker. (approx. 20 minutes drive)

Burghill Valley Golf Club

Located northwest of Hereford where there are fine views of the Brecon Beacons.  A threatening lake is in play on the tricky par fourth signature 9th.  (approx. 17 minutes drive)

Leominster Golf Club

Some find the golf at Leominster Golf Club a little hilly in places but there is always a little respite with the fairways which are laid out by the banks of the River Lugg. (approx. 30 minutes drive)

Sapey Colf Club

Opened in 1990 and the Rowan course is maturing nicely into one of the regions best tracks.  The downhill par three 8th is a cracking one-shotter to a green surrounded by water (approx. 50 minutes drive)
